This 74th Cannes Film Festival, back on the Croisette in a staggered way (July instead of May), takes place under the sign of health precautions, due to pandemic. To enter the palace, it will be necessary to justify a complete vaccination course (two weeks after a second injection) or proof of acquired immunity. And for the others, a “high capacity” laboratory will be set up nearby, for saliva PCR tests (no swab in delicate noses), with results sent within six hours. This 450 m² center dedicated to screening in front of the Palais des Festivals in Cannes will test the 20,000 accredited people over the entire period of the Festival from July 5 to July 17, 2021. Every day, 4,000 tests can be carried out there from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

In summary, a reluctant star will just have to think a little ahead before hitting the red carpet. Because we do not imagine that there are circumventions of the rule, do we?
