We tested ... one night at the Majestic hotel in Cannes

Home.Admiral vessel of the luxury hotel, stowed with the Croisette of which he is one of the most beautiful establishments, the Majestic impresses with his grandeur, his beauty and the cloud of staff who are busy around each arrival.

The lobby bar.Completely renovated a few weeks ago, it's a feast of your eyes.Dominated by monumental glittery lights of gold, it is sown in a perfect order of armchairs and cream sofas which are reminiscent of the beautiful manners of a liner.Very successful.

Chamber n ° 641.From the front door, a long corridor allows you to access it, serving in the passage a luxurious bathroom in dark marble and a separate toilet. The room presents itself in a shades of gray with white spumbers of rare elegance.Wall fabric and matching curtains, thick carpet, Art Deco door handles. The big chic. The double bed faces a very good quality flat screen with free access to Canal +.

View.A French window opens onto a balcony with garden furniture and towel sponge placed on the lounge chair. In front of us, a panorama in Technicolor. On the right, the red rocks of the first Esterel massifs invite you to a change of scenery. In front of us, the Croisette and its disheveled palm trees which are divided on the azure horizon of the sea.We never tire.

The bathroom. In marble with shower and separate bathtub.Perfectly dosed lightning. On the edge of the basins, there is a battery of care products signed by the brand "Diane Barrière" in large format, which is rather appreciable.

The service. It is exemplary. In the evening, discreet staff waits for you to leave the room to discreetly close the shutters and open the bed.Notice to the rough guests, everything lying around is tidy.We want more ...

On a beau chercher… rien.Barrière excellence, at the controls of luxury hotels in France for four generations, makes the hiccups quite rare. A Total Zen.Come on, we regret one thing ... to have to go!

The content is classic, without real surprise.

At table. The hotel has two restaurants, the Fouquet's Barrière (around 50 €) and Nicole's small house (around 70 €).The decoration of the Fouquet's, very Jacques Garcia in devil (black), needs to be refreshed. It will be done in the spring.Nicole's little house is a flawlessness both in the immaculate decor and the plate filled with a rather talented executive chief (Maryan Gandon).

On a aimé?

On a moins aimé?

For the true atmosphere, aim for the terrace of the Cabinet de l'Horloge which faces the hall.Essential ritual.
