12 Types of Curtain Headers - Cheerful Curtains

1. Rod pocket (pole pocket)

A pocket is sewn on the top of the curtain panel through which the curtain rod is inserted. The rod pocket is 3", which is included in the length of the curtain. A header that measures 1" by 1 -1/2" is above the pocket, which is not included in the curtain length. 2 times the fabric is the suggested fullness.

2. Pencil Pleats

It's common and classic, creating a simple, casual look. The pencil pleat works best on fabrics that aren't too heavy. Pleats are 3" deep and 2.5 times the fabric is the suggested fullness.

3. Versatile fold

This design is so practical. A versatile curtain strip is knitted on the top of the curtain panel, and curtain hooks are pinned on the strip to form various titles you desire. You can unfasten these hooks easily to create new headings.

4. Tab Top

The top of the curtain is with a row of fabric tabs (loops) at regular intervals to hang from the rod, hence the name. These are the modern, casual and less formal headings.

The tabs measure 2"W x 4"W which is included in the length of the curtain. 2 times the fabric is the suggested fullness.

5. Back tab (hidden tab on top)

The way it hangs on the curtain rod is similar to the top of the tab. The difference is that the tabs (loops) at the top of the curtain are not visible, providing better light absorption and better thermal insulation.

The tabs measure 2"W x 4"W which is included in the length of the curtain. 2 times the fabric is the suggested fullness.

6. Double box pleat

This design gives a formal look. The finished width of the double box pleat curtain is fixed. So you must take measurements of the width you want to cover carefully. The double box pleat is 3" deep and requires 2.5 times of fullness to form a beautiful view.

7. Triple Box Pleat

This design gives a formal look. The finished width of triple box pleat curtains is fixed. So you need to take measurements of the width you want to cover carefully. The triple box pleat is 3" deep and requires 3 times the fullness to form a beautiful view.

8. Single Fold

It's a smart and relaxed title. The design is simple and casual. The pleats are 4" deep and normally require 1.5 times of fabric sewn together to form a pleat.

9. Double pinch

It's a smart and simple title. Pleats are 4" deep and normally require 2 times of fabric sewn together to form a pleat.

10. Triple pinch

The triple pinch pleat requires 2.5 times the fabric sewn together to form a pleat. The pleats are 4" deep and the look is elegant, formal and classic.

11. Eyelet (eyelet)

Also called grommet curtains. This design is simple, casual and has been popular for a long time. With the grommet head, you can easily adjust the width of your curtain.

Plastic grommets are provided which would be removable and quieter, smoothly while sliding the curtains. The inside diameter of the plastic grommets is 1-5/8", and the grommet curtains are suitable for curtain rods of a diameter less than 1-1/2". 2 times the fabric is the suggested fullness.

When measuring grommet curtains, please measure from the top of your curtain rods to where you would like the curtains to hang, then add 1-1/2" (for grommet are placed approximately 1-1/2" 2" below the top of the fabric curtain).

12. Fold Tumbler

The top of the curtain features a row of goblet-shaped patterns at regular intervals, hence its name. The goblet pleat is particularly suitable for curtains with a long drop. tall buildings.2 times the fabric is the suggested fullness.
